Anthem brought me back to Blaze and Londyn’s like he said, and we were now doing what we did best when we got together… drink. I was worried about him being out there, but I had to trust that he had everything under control and it’d all be over when he walked back through that door.

“He’ll be fine, NuNu. I see that look in your eyes.” Londyn took a sip from her drink before placing it back on the table.

“I know, but I can’t help but still worry. I’m getting better though. I haven’t asked you to call Blaze yet,” I smirked and so did she. I knew she and Blaze would get tired of me with that, but I didn’t care. I needed to make sure my man was okay. I wasn’t true to this… I was new to this.

“Stop worrying and let’s talk about my birthday. I’m ready to celebrate and put all this other shit behind us,” she said.

“I agree. What did you have in mind?”

“I want to take a trip… somewhere exotic and hot. I’m tired of this cold ass weather.”

“A trip would be nice, but you don’t want a party? I think it would be nice and since y’all haven’t disclosed your little secret yet, this would be a good time.” They still haven’t told everybody that they were married yet, and this secret was killing me.

“We haven’t decided when we would tell them yet, but I guess we need to hurry up, huh?”

“Bitch, you think?” I looked at her like she was crazy. I don’t know how long she thought she could be married and the only people that knew were me and Anthem. That fool was liable to out them just because and wouldn’t care. Just the thought of his retarded ass made me think of an idea. “What if you have a reception and disguise it as a birthday party? Y’all can tell everybody then,” I suggested.

“I like that. We can make it formal and have everybody dressed up. You’re good for something besides riding Anthem’s dick,” she joked, and I pushed her ass.

“Bitch, you tried it. But seriously, we have a lot to do. You gotta find a dress. I gotta find a dress. We need a caterer and somebody to make the cake. Maybe we can get the person who decorated the club for Anthem’s birthday. They understood the assignment and we can’t have him outdoing you.”

“Damn, girl. Slow down,” she laughed. I was just excited to be able to do something besides sit in the house.

“My bad. I got excited. We now have something to do besides sit in the house. I’m ready to get my hands on something to keep me occupied.”

“I feel you. We’ll make a list of all the things that we need to do and go from there.”

We started making notes and a list of everything and I remembered I had something to tell her.
